There is a lot to do, so let’s get started!

This motto has accompanied me in many ways throughout my life and ultimately led me to Januam. Here, people from different countries come together to pursue a common goal — learning the German language. The country where they have found refuge has now become their new home — the place where their next generations will grow up and shape the future.

For each individual, this is not only about overcoming linguistic challenges and integrating, but also about accepting and blending into a new and unfamiliar culture and society. At this very point, I stand by people with migration backgrounds as a volunteer — as a naturalized citizen of Turkish origin with fifty years of life experience.

At Januam, questions regarding education, further training, and retraining are also discussed individually and purposefully, so that together we can build a shared story of success.

Currently, I am involved in intercultural activities and volunteer as a language coach for “German as a Foreign Language,” working with schoolchildren as well as in individual and group coaching sessions for adults with migration backgrounds.

Since the beginning of 2025, I have been part of the team of “German as a Foreign Language” teachers at JANUAM. I truly appreciate the very open-minded and pleasant atmosphere at JANUAM and enjoy working with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.
